近年來，微生物系統分類學研究迅猛發展，許多微生物的分類學地位發生變化和遷移，每年也會出現大量新的菌種分類單元。我們在1999年版《細菌名稱英解漢譯詞典》與2011年版《細菌名稱雙解及分類詞典》的基礎上，收集自2010年3月之后合格發表的細菌與真菌名稱，參照以往的漢譯規范，給出中文名稱，以《微生物新菌種名稱英解漢譯檢索表》形式陸續發表，以方便廣大微生物研究與應用工作者使用規范的微生物漢語名稱。
